The idea of Nuttin’ But came from my own ongoing digestive health problems. I began to suffer in my teens with a range of symptoms including bloating, indigestion and cramps and after a number of trips to the doctors and various investigations I was diagnosed as having IBS but given limited guidance about what I could do to ease my symptoms.
Having watched my mum suffer with similar problems for most of her life, I decided to take matters into my own hands and see what I could do to begin supporting my own gut health, naturally.
I soon realised the importance of the gut in our overall health with research showing the majority of our immune cells are found in the gut wall. We wanted a product which could support the immune system and contribute to an overall sense of wellbeing. This is how we came up with the concept of “Nuttin’ But” a product which was simple – nothing but oats, fruit, nuts and our unique bio-culture (scientifically validated and EU approved) which reaches the gut alive and can actively improve digestion.
As a brand we first developed this concept as a 250ml drink and won best new cold pressed drink at the Q awards in London in late 2019. However, we then realised the best way to bring our idea to market was as a breakfast product and so we developed our Oats + Bio cultures on offer today.
As a first-time mum with a busy lifestyle and a lover of porridge it seemed a good idea to add our bio cultures to oats to enhance their natural goodness and developed this further into an instant healthy breakfast pot.
We also wanted to increase the versatility of our super boosted oats so decided to pop them into a pouch which means they can be used as you like.
